Your Support can Save Lives Now
Every hour, nearly 100 lives are lost to falls.
They’re still waiting for protection
As of now, around 500 families are on the waiting list for FallGuard. Many seniors live alone. Some fall more than 10 times a year.
I’m working as hard as I can to build and deliver more FallGuard devices, but the need has grown far beyond what one person can do. Your support can help bring protection to the seniors who cannot afford to wait any longer.
Voices from Families Waiting for FallGuard
“I use a wheelchair and have cerebral palsy. When I get stuck out of my chair, no one always knows. Your device could let me keep living at home safely instead of moving to a care facility.”
“My husband has advanced Parkinson’s and still falls a lot even with a walker. He won’t keep wearable devices on. A system like yours that doesn’t need charging or remembering would be a huge relief.”
“My mom with dementia has fallen many times in one year, breaking bones and needing stitches. She can’t remember to wear a button or charge a watch. Getting an instant alert when she falls could change everything for us.”
“I’m a senior living alone. I want to pay for my own device and even donate one to someone who can’t afford it. I wish I could give more, but I hope this helps another family stay safe.”
“After spine surgery, I live with constant pain and limited mobility. A fall could be devastating. I’m searching for any technology that lets me stay independent without being terrified of falling.”
“My adult son has epilepsy. During a seizure he can’t push a button or call for help. Your system that can recognize a fall on its own could protect him when he’s home alone.”
“At night I take off my hearing devices and I’m completely deaf. My spouse falls often, especially on the way to the bathroom. A quiet alarm wouldn’t help me, but a vibration alert on my phone would let me know immediately.”
“I serve on the tech committee at a retirement community. We’d like to evaluate your device because so many residents worry about falling and not being found in time.”
Donate an Unused Device
Don’t let your old computer gather dust. Turn it into a guardian that could save someone’s life.
Turn your unused computer into a life-saving device.
To help more people receive FallGuard sooner, I’ve been working on a way to turn old or unused computers into fully functional FallGuard devices.
The requirements are very simple: if a computer can run Windows 10 or 11, connect to the internet, and use a USB webcam, it can almost always be turned into a FallGuard device — even if it’s old or slow.
Devices that can help:
- Old laptops with Operation System, even if they are slow
- Desktop PCs or small form factor computers with Operation System
- Mini PCs, Intel NUCs, Raspberry Pi, and similar boards
- Webcams, power adapters, microSD cards, keyboards, and mice

What It Costs to Build One FallGuard Device
FallGuard is free for families. But every device still needs real hardware before it can protect someone at home. Here is what typically goes into a single device:
In total, building one FallGuard device usually costs around $100–200 in hardware. Your support goes directly into these materials or shipping, so another senior does not have to stay on the waiting list.
